WeOptEditor

WeOptEditor is a front-end editor for Pro Evolution Soccer 3 option files. Because edition in PES is not very easy ( I never like edit attributes or names with gamepad), WeOptEditor may help you to create the ultimate option file with just a click'n go. It can help you also to transfert the players you created into the club team

Help me to help you.
I need some tools ( x-port or ethernet adapter) to transfert the option file from the PS2 to the PC. Without this kind of stuff, I cannot decrypt the We8 option file format.

WeOptEditor is freeware. This means that the usage of this program is free, although I reserve for myselft the distribution rights.
No profit can be obtained from the distribution of this tools or the materials resulting from its use.
This software is distributed as it is, so I do not accept any responsiblity of any kind if damage of any kind is caused from the use of this program, may it be direct or indirect.

Direct links to WeOptEditor should be avoided. If you want to host original files downloaded here on your own site, it would be appreciated that you ask before doing it, and you must mention their origin.

It is strongly recommanded that you make a back copy of any file you wish to edit.

Features :

Player creation : you can create player from scrach. Select a unregistered Editable player and create him has you want.
Player edition : Including both basics settings ( e.g. name, strip name, age , nationality, position ), Appearance , Abilities , and skills. Full visual face edition.
Team edition : team name, short name, registering player for captain , free kick , P.K , and corner kick.
Formation edition : full visual formation edition. You can move players where you want and modify their position.
Stadium Edition : basically, just a name edition of any stadium.
Transfert : transfert any player to any team with just a drag&drop :). Created players can also be transfered to the club team.
Flags : import your favorite flag from a PNG image ( multiple alpha channel) into your option file.
Import from both PC option file and X-PORT version. Import players and teams from CM4 (both 2002/2003 and 2003/2004)
Export to both PC option file and X-PORT version

History :

09/27/04 - Version 1.29 : The long and awaited import players from one option file to another is implemented. Copy a player into clipboard with Ctrl-C and paste it on another player with Ctrl-V.
08/12/04 - Version 1.28 : Depending of the option file version, the uniform info can make the game to freeze.I add the ability to save or not these infos.
03/28/04 - Version 1.27 : Add the ability to save as We7I US.
03/23/04 - Version 1.26 :
- Add full visual uniform edition.
- Flag can now be assigned to club team.
- xps save bug fix : the file saved is no more a PES3 xps but the same version than the opened one.
- player's squad number is now different for club team and national team.
03/20/04 - Version 1.25 :
- bug fix that prevent xps files to be truncated on saving process.
- 03/19/04 - Version 1.24 :
  - I already found why some data error occurs when you save your file as WE7I or WE7. This version should fix the problem.
  - Modification done on the free agents are now saved correctly.

  - minor hair type bug fix.

  - Rewrite the player position information.
  - Add special free kick information.
  - Add background color to match the value of the abilities.
- 03/10/04 - Version 1.22 : you can now save your option file as PES3,WE7I or WE7 xport file.
- 03/09/04 - Version 1.21 :
  - Major bug fix: All modification done was not saved when you used the 'save as' function.It's now fixed.
  - Strip name is now saved in uppercase
  - Refresh problem is gone. You don't have to select another player to see the modification you did on name or nationality.
  - Progress bar that never disappear on CM4 db loading is now fixed.
- 03/08/04 - Version 1.20 : Opening option file without both european star and world star team does not make WeOptEditor to crash anymore.

  - WeOptEditor is now compatible with both CM4 2002/2003 and CM4 2003/2004.
  - Team importation has been improved. Now, when you import a team, all imported team's players are created under the Editable players tabs and automatically transfert. The imported team players aren't overwritten.
  - Some minors bugs fix.
- 02/25/04 - Version 1.12 :
  - Winning Eleven 7 International x-port files are now compatible with WeOptEditor.Be carefull , the 'save as' x-port file format still create an european PES3 file.

  - Flags importation is working. Right-click to import a flag from a PNG image (restricted to 64x48 pixels, 8bits)
  - Fix a bug in save as ... xport file.Data was corruped after the Save as fonction.
- 02/06/04 - Version 1.08 : Major bug fix in transfert . No more duplicate player when you drag & drop one a player to another team.
- 02/06/04 - Version 1.07 : Great news, I figured out why data was corrupted on save. I think the bug is now definitively fixed :)
- 02/05/04 - Version 1.06b3 : CM4 stats import is working again :)
- 02/05/04 - Version 1.06b2 :
  - Fix a big bug in player save process. So, transferts should work well now :)

  - CM4ToPESConvertor is now included in WeOptEditor. Right click to a player and import his stats from CM4 ( 2002/2003 )
  - Stadium name are saved correctly
- 01/29/04 - Version 1.04 : Another stadium bug fixed ( short name was not saved correctly).
- 01/29/04 - Version 1.03 : Fix Stadium name edition (only digit was allowed for the name).

- 01/29/04 - Version 1.01 : Fix a x-port import bug. All PES x-port file should be read without problem now.

Known problems :
- Nationality and Age are not yet converted from CM4, so don't forget to modify it.
- CM4->PES conversion is based on position . If you modify the position , the conversion is not recomputed. Some strange behaviors can occurs :)
- a free player can be register to one or more team . If an editable player already register to a team is drag&drop to another team, the registration is apply, regardless of his prior registration.
